About Us
More than just an acting academy The Actor’s truth strives to bring out the best of performances. Saurabh Sachdeva founded this institute with an aim to work on the core issues an actor faces while performing. With a strong belief in the phrase, “Acting Is Doing”, we mould our students with extreme sensitivity. As an actor, one should understand aspects of both ‘Being’ and ‘Doing’. We have sketched out a curriculum which helps an actor to bring about a change in the awareness about himself and his thoughts.
While we started with a one-month course, we realised that the biggest hurdle an actor faces is the lack of opportunity to express himself and perform at the same time. In order to bridge this gap, we provide our students with a platform wherein they get a chance to perform even after the workshop ends.
For a month, post the workshop, we monitor their performances and provide them with value added feedback (Yes! Free of cost) by the invited audience. They also get an opportunity of being spotted by the casting assistants of reputed agencies.
Well, we don’t just stop here! We pick some of the dedicated actors from the first workshop and put them into an advanced learning program. During the program, they are actively directed for a professional theatre play. After Foundation (level 1) and Advance Workshop (level 2) we have our most intense workshop (level 3) where we train students for auditioning and acting for the camera. We take accountability of them and work on real world issues they are facing in getting work out there.

Saurabh
Sachdeva
Our founder, a prominent figure in Hindi cinema, began teaching in 2002 at Imago and spent 11 years at Barry John Acting School. In 2017, he founded The Actor’s Truth, offering a range of acting courses.
Akshay alok
An actor, theatre practitioner, and acting coach, Akshay has performed in over 100 devised theatre shows across educational, corporate, and public sectors. Trained in various acting techniques, including Stephen Book, which he also teaches, he leads Antarang—The Actor’s Truth’s theatre wing that offers students a performance platform.
Shilpa Sinha
From a career in law to the world of acting, she transitioned from student to mentor at The Actor’s Truth, guiding students in theatre and filmmaking. She has appeared in TVF shows like Girls Hostel (Sony Liv) and walked the runway for designers such as Wendell Rodricks, Narendra Kumar, and Veromoda at Lakme Fashion Week.
Sucuri
Sucuri (Sunil Singh), a Capoeira instructor based in Bandra, Mumbai, promotes the Afro-Brazilian martial art through performances and community events. At The Actor’s Truth, he helps students build strength, flexibility, coordination, and teamwork through music, rhythm, and movement.
Elzo Jacob
Elzo’s journey from biotech engineer to actor and coach began with a childhood love for the stage. Trained at The Actor’s Truth and under Barry John, he has performed in over 50 productions as an actor, director, and writer. Elzo specializes in the Stephen Book Technique, mentors students in Dance Drama, and supports admissions at The Actor’s Truth.
Saahitya Pansare
From an MBA and a marketing career to theatre and television, Saahitya’s journey has been diverse. With a Gladrags accolade and experience under Zeeshan Ayyub’s Being Association, he now plays a key role at The Actor’s Truth—handling marketing, accounts, and administration after starting as a student.
Akash Verma
Akash, an accomplished actor and editor with over a decade of experience, has earned recognition from Hollywood directors and U.S. clients. A self-taught cinematographer and filmmaker, he manages The Actor’s Truth’s online presence—handling shooting, editing, design, and guiding students in their short films.
Sourabh Sharma
After earning a Marketing degree and working as a bank officer, Sourabh followed his passion for acting and began his journey with The Actor’s Truth in 2021. Now a course advisor, he oversees admissions while continuing to train and grow as an actor.
Yuvraj kewalramani
Passionate about acting since age 4, Yuvraj has acted in and created numerous plays, short films, and web series. Formally trained and continually upskilling, he joined The Actor’s Truth as a student in 2021 and now mentors students in the Stephen Book Technique and leads the Reading and Writing module.
